Monte Grande

Monte Grande is a summit in the Eugamean Hills between Teolo and Rovolon in the province of Padua, standing at 474 meters high. A forest road with switchbacks winds through the wooded slopes to reach the peak, where a meteorological station is located.

The mountain has long been a place where people came to enjoy the views and connect with nature. Stone sculptures placed along a circular path reflect the region's artistic relationship with the landscape that has developed over time.

The area around the mountain is shaped by wine growing, with family wineries that have been operating for generations. The vineyards and cellars nearby show how deeply rooted wine production is to this region.

The trail is easy to locate, starting from Via Bettone and connecting the two towns with clear markings along the way. Visitors should wear sturdy shoes since the path winds through multiple switchbacks and can be slippery in wet conditions.

A weather station with radar equipment sits at the summit, collecting climate data for the entire region. This scientific facility is visible from many spots across the hills and shapes how the peak appears on the landscape.
