Chiesa dell'Immacolata

The Chiesa dell'Immacolata is a Neoliberty church in Foggia featuring a raised facade with five pinnacles and decorative elements. The combination of natural stone with grey and red granite patterns marks the exterior, while a rectangular main hall is structured by twelve trapezoidal pillars.

Construction began on December 8, 1954, after two benefactors donated land in the Pantanella area for a new Provincial Curia for the Capuchin Friars. The project arose from the community's need for a new headquarters.

The interior holds a large mosaic of the Immaculate Conception created in 1958 by the Vatican Mosaic Studio. This artistic representation shapes the spiritual experience of the space and draws from religious painting traditions.

The church is regularly open to visitors and holds religious services throughout the week. It is wise to check opening hours beforehand and show respect for worshippers during service times.

The building contains the tomb of Venerable Genoveffa De Troia, whose remains were transferred here in 1965. This transfer marked the beginning of a beatification process for the deceased figure.
