Rusnės tiltas

Rusnės tiltas is a concrete bridge connecting Rusnė island to mainland Lithuania by spanning across the Atmatos River. The structure features multiple spans and rises significantly above the water surface to allow passage beneath.

The original structure was built in the early 1900s under a different name and served the region for decades. Wartime damage led to a major rebuild with a new concrete design in the following decades.

The bridge serves as a gathering point during summer festivals and rowing competitions, bringing together residents of Rusnė island and mainland Lithuania.

The crossing is accessible to vehicles and pedestrians and enables daily traffic between the island and mainland. The best experience comes in good weather when views across the river valley are most open.

The bridge location within Nemuno Delta Regional Park offers views of waterways where timber rafts historically traveled toward Klaipėda port.
