Znamensky Cathedral

Znamensky Cathedral is an Orthodox house of worship in Ardatov featuring symmetrical proportions and pale stone construction. The building displays classical columns across its facade, with two bell towers positioned on either side of the central entrance.

Construction of the cathedral began in 1802 as Russian Orthodox churches were adopting Neoclassical design principles. The building's completion occurred during a period when this architectural style was spreading throughout Russian religious institutions.
