The Tête des Cuveaux reaches an elevation of 781 meters and features 17 natural sandstone basins with an average diameter of 60 centimeters at its summit.

Evidence of occupation by the Celtic Leuci people was discovered at this site before the arrival of Romans in the region.

The rock basins at the summit were potentially used for purification rituals connected to the worship of the solar deity Belenus.

The hiking trail to the summit extends 11.4 kilometers with an elevation gain of 433 meters, requiring approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes to complete.

A nine-meter-high observation point equipped with an orientation table provides views over the Moselle Valley from the promontory.
