Scenic viewpoint, Viewpoint in Sainte-Enimie, France
The viewpoint stands on a limestone cliff, providing an unobstructed view of the Tarn Gorges and the medieval village nestled in the valley below.
This observation point is situated near the Benedictine monastery established in the 7th century by Saint Enimie, a Merovingian princess of the Frankish kingdom.
The viewpoint forms a central element in the natural heritage of the Tarn Gorges, within the Cévennes National Park.
The viewpoint requires a 20-minute walk on a marked trail starting from the historic center of Sainte-Enimie.
At summer solstice, the sun aligns with the gorge, creating a distinct light effect on the rocky walls of the canyon.
