Hôtel de Gallifet

The Hôtel de Gallifet is a former 18th-century residence now functioning as an art center located in the Mazarin district of Aix-en-Provence. Inside, six exhibition rooms are arranged across multiple levels, complemented by a garden planted with old chestnut trees.

The building was constructed in the 18th century as a private dwelling for a wealthy family and has shaped the neighborhood ever since. Its conversion into an arts institution in recent times gave it a new purpose while the original architecture was preserved.

The place is named after its former owner and attracts artists and art lovers who follow the rotating exhibitions throughout the year. The rooms themselves become stages for contemporary creativity, where works are shown directly within the historic walls.
