Miruša Waterfalls, Natural cascade system in central Kosovo
The Miruša River forms 13 connected lakes and waterfalls across a 10-kilometer canyon with white limestone cliffs contrasting against brown waters.
The regional park, established in 1982, encompasses 55,580 hectares of land that received protection status as a special nature reserve since 1975.
The Great Church and Small Church caves within the canyon provided shelter to Orthodox monks during the period of Ottoman control.
Visitors can access multiple swimming areas, hiking trails, and viewing points throughout the park via national roads connecting to surrounding towns.
The highest waterfall in the series drops 22 meters between the sixth and seventh lakes, creating opportunities for diving competitions.
