Terminal 1

Terminal 1 is an international air terminal in Mississauga with multiple levels containing departure gates, baggage claim zones, and check-in facilities. The large building is designed to process thousands of passengers daily with its organized layout.

The terminal opened in 2004, replacing earlier facilities at Toronto Pearson to increase capacity and update operations. This new building marked an important upgrade to the airport's infrastructure for the region.

Canadian artists' works hang throughout the terminal, blending contemporary and traditional pieces into the space. These installations give the building a cultural character that catches the eye as you move through.

Direct train service connects to downtown Toronto, and regional buses serve the terminal for ground transportation. Clear signage and a logical layout help visitors find their way through the building without difficulty.

The terminal houses a 7-Eleven store with no alcohol sales, something you rarely find in airport shops. Among roughly 150 retail and dining outlets, this concept stands out as an unexpected find.
