Angel Rocks Trail

Angel Rocks Trail stretches for 3.5 miles through dense forests and granite formations, reaching an elevation of 1,750 feet above the Tanana River Valley.

The trail area contains geological formations of granite pillars that developed when molten rock cooled near the Earth's surface millions of years ago.

The Department of Natural Resources manages this trail system within Alaska's backcountry, maintaining the natural environment for recreational activities and exploration.

Visitors need to pay a small parking fee at the trailhead, which includes access to restrooms and picnic areas located 49 miles from Fairbanks.

The trail connects to an extended 8.3-mile path leading to Chena Hot Springs Resort, featuring a mountain shelter and natural spring along the route.
