Paradise Beach

Paradise Beach is a sandy shore along the southern coast of Cayo Largo del Sur, featuring white sand and turquoise Caribbean waters. The shoreline stretches wide with a gentle slope suitable for swimming and water activities.

The beach remained largely undeveloped until the 1980s, when the Cuban government began transforming Cayo Largo del Sur into a tourist destination. This shift marked the beginning of its modern use as a resort area.

Local vendors work along the shore selling fresh coconuts and traditional Cuban drinks to visitors. These sellers are woven into the daily rhythm of the beach.

The beach has basic facilities including restrooms, showers, and rental stations for beach gear during daytime hours. Visit in early morning or late afternoon to avoid crowds and enjoy calmer conditions.

Sea turtles return to this shore between May and September to nest and lay eggs in the sand. These nesting sites make this spot significant for those interested in marine wildlife.
