Cayo Largo del Sur

The island extends over a narrow strip of land with multiple white sand beaches bordered by turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea.

The establishment of Cayo Largo del Sur as a tourist destination began in the 1980s when the first hotels were constructed on the island.

Each Wednesday evening, the Plaza El Pirata hosts Las Noches de Blanco celebrations with traditional Cuban music and dance performances.

Visitors can reach Cayo Largo del Sur through a 50-minute flight from Havana, with multiple hotels offering all-inclusive accommodation packages.

The fourth channel contains a natural shallow pool where various species of starfish inhabit the clear waters throughout the year.
