Carlota Akaneya, Japanese restaurant in Ciutat Vella, Spain.

Carlota Akaneya features individual charcoal grills at each table where guests prepare premium meats, fish, and vegetables according to their preferences.

The restaurant opened in 2011 as Europe's first sumibiyaki establishment and later became the second restaurant outside Japan to serve Matsusaka Beef from Ito Ranch.

The restaurant's concept originated from a Kyoto establishment named Akaneya Junshinken, combining traditional Japanese grilling methods with Spanish hospitality.

Located near Liceu and Catalunya metro stations, the restaurant serves dinner daily from 19:00 to 23:00 with parking facilities available at nearby Angels.

In 2020, Carlota Akaneya became the first restaurant in Barcelona to receive certification for serving authentic Kobe Beef to its customers.
