Torre d'en Galmés, Archaeological site near Son Bou, Menorca, Spain

The archaeological complex of Torre d'en Galmés spans across a hilltop, featuring three stone watchtowers and numerous circular residential structures with central courtyards.

The settlement emerged during the Talayotic period around 1400 BCE and remained inhabited through the Roman era until Muslim refugees occupied it during the Reconquista.

The site contains a T-shaped stone monument called taula within a horseshoe-shaped enclosure, reflecting the religious practices of ancient Menorcan inhabitants.

Visitors can access the site from Tuesday to Sunday between 9 AM and 4 PM, with admission costing 3 euros for adults and 1.80 euros for seniors.

The settlement incorporates an advanced water collection system with underground cisterns connected by channels, demonstrating sophisticated engineering methods of ancient inhabitants.
