Boxi Park, Open-air dining and shopping district in Lake Nona, Orlando, United States.
Boxi Park is an outdoor dining and shopping area in the Lake Nona neighborhood of Orange County, Florida, built from repurposed shipping containers that house restaurants, bars, and retail shops. The containers are arranged around a central open plaza with communal seating, a stage for live events, and a beach volleyball court.
The site was developed as part of the Lake Nona Town Center, a large planned community in southeast Orlando that grew rapidly in the 2010s. Boxi Park was one of the first public gathering spaces to open in the area and helped set the tone for the neighborhood.
The shipping container layout gives the whole space a look that feels more like a pop-up market than a traditional mall. People tend to stay longer than planned, moving between food stalls, outdoor tables, and the open central area.
The park sits along Lake Nona Boulevard and is easy to reach by car, with parking available on-site. Since most of the seating is outdoors, checking the weather before visiting is a good idea, especially during Florida's summer afternoon storms.
Although Boxi Park looks like a permanent complex, the containers are technically movable, meaning the entire layout could be relocated if needed. This flexibility was part of the original concept behind the project.
