Lake Nona Golf & Country Club, Private golf course in Southeast Orlando, United States.
Lake Nona Golf & Country Club is a private course in Southeast Orlando designed by architect Tom Fazio. The layout runs through wooded hills with pines and oaks, woven around three natural lakes that shape the playing field.
The club opened in 1986 and quickly became a recognized venue when it hosted the Solheim Cup in 1990. Three years later, the World Cup of Golf came here, giving the course international standing.
Professional golfers Annika Sorenstam, Graeme McDowell, and Nick Faldo selected this club as their residence, forming a community of international sports figures.
The facility is open to members and their guests, so visitors should check access arrangements in advance. The grounds offer several tee positions that allow for different levels of play.
Several well-known international golfers live in the neighborhood surrounding the course. This proximity has made the area an informal gathering place for professional players from different countries.
