SunTrust Center, Tallest office tower in Central Business District, Orlando, United States
The SunTrust Center is a 35-story office tower rising 441 feet (134 meters) with a beige and green exterior accented in blue. Four distinctive green pyramids crown the roofline and define the building's appearance on the downtown skyline.
The building was constructed in 1988 as Sun Bank Center, incorporating an existing 1960s bank structure into its modern design. Upon completion, it immediately became Orlando's tallest office tower and shaped the development of the downtown business district.
The tower houses the Argentine consulate and trade offices for Qingdao, China, reflecting the global connections embedded in downtown Orlando. These international presences make the building a symbol of the city's economic and diplomatic ties.
The structure houses 30 office floors, an eight-story atrium lobby, a ground-level restaurant, and a six-level parking garage for tenants and visitors. Access to public areas is straightforward during business hours, and parking is available on-site.
The upper five floors merge into a single expansive level offering sweeping views across the city, creating a rare architectural feature. Evening lighting casts amber tones on the pyramid tops and white illumination on the upper sections, creating a distinctive nighttime appearance.
