Ho Tram Beach Boutique Resort
Ho Tram Beach Boutique Resort is a beachfront hotel in Phước Thuận on Vietnam's southern coast with over 80 rooms and bungalows scattered across 8 hectares of land. Buildings are made from natural materials like brick and thatch roofing and kept low to blend with the surrounding trees and vegetation.
The property began as a family home, later became a gathering place for friends, and eventually transformed into a small hotel. The nearby beach faced erosion issues over the years, which the resort addressed by installing special geotube sandbags to protect and stabilize the shoreline.
The name comes from Vietnamese, with 'Ho' meaning lake or water and 'Tram' meaning hundred. Traditional features like wooden beams, courtyards, and tiled roofs reflect the owners' appreciation for Vietnamese style, creating a warm and welcoming feel throughout the property.
The resort is easily accessible by private car or taxi from Ho Chi Minh City, with a journey of a few hours. The sea has strong currents, so swimming is recommended only in the resort's two pools, one with chlorinated water and one saltwater pool for lap swimming.
During peak season, the resort offers activities like lantern making and bicycle rides through nearby villages and hills, giving guests a taste of local rural life. These experiences help visitors connect with the countryside and understand traditional ways of living in the area.
