Hotel Harry
Hotel Harry is a restaurant, bar, and lodging in Surry Hills housed in a building over a hundred years old that has been carefully restored. The ground floor offers a cozy space for quick meals, while upstairs the restaurant Paladar serves Latin American-inspired food and handcrafted cocktails to guests.
The building was once the Macquarie Hotel and underwent a major transformation to become today's Hotel Harry. This change gave the place new purpose and turned it into a popular nightlife destination in Sydney.
The name Hotel Harry connects to its past ownership, and the space blends Latin American and local Sydney influences. Locals gather here to share meals, enjoy live music, and spend time together, reflecting the casual, social character of Surry Hills.
Access is straightforward, located at the corner of Goulburn Street and Wentworth Avenue and easy to reach. Note that currently only the ground floor lounge and upstairs areas are open, with plans for fuller venue renovation underway.
A forthcoming street window will let visitors purchase sandwich classics like Cubano sandwiches without entering the restaurant. This addition will make the venue more accessible for passersby looking for a quick snack on the go.
