Lagovida GmbH
Lagovida GmbH is a resort hotel in Großpösna, Saxony, set directly on the shore of the Störmthaler See. It offers cottages and rooms, many facing the water or the nearby harbor, and most units come with a kitchen, a balcony, Wi-Fi, and a flat-screen television.
The hotel opened in 2014, making it one of the newer establishments around the Störmthaler See. The lake itself was formed by flooding a former open-cast mine, a process that reshaped the landscape across this part of Saxony.
The name Lagovida joins the Italian word for lake with the Spanish word for life. Guests walk along the shore, eat on terraces, and spend time outdoors, with daily rhythms built around shared meals and simple lakeside activities like mini-golf.
The property sits right on the lakeshore, so the beach and water are easy to reach on foot from any part of the grounds. Cycling and walking trails run nearby, and watercraft such as kayaks and paddle boats can be rented at the water's edge.
The hotel allows guests to bring up to two dogs for an extra fee, which is not common for lakeside resorts in this region. Pet owners can enjoy a stay by the water without leaving their companions behind.
