Design Museum of Barcelona

The Design Museum of Barcelona holds over 70,000 objects within a modern building featuring underground sections and a 14.5-meter structure above ground.

The museum emerged from the merger of multiple institutions, including the Museum of Decorative Arts and the Textile Museum, before opening its new location in 2014.

The collections span from the 3rd century BC to present day, featuring medieval textiles, 16th-century Catalan enameled glass, and contemporary design pieces.

Located at Plaça de les Glòries Catalanes 38, the museum opens Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 to 20:00, offering both physical and virtual guided tours.

The documentation center maintains over 22,000 materials about object arts and design, including books, magazines, and private archives for public research.
