Veles e Vents, Rooftop restaurant building in Valencia port, Spain.
Veles e Vents features a striking four-story concrete structure with dynamic angles and horizontal platforms that extend over the Mediterranean Sea, creating floating terraces with panoramic views of Valencia's marina and coastline.
The building was constructed in 2007 as part of Valencia's preparations for hosting the 32nd America's Cup, designed by renowned architects David Chipperfield and Fermín Vázquez to serve as the official pavilion.
Named after a poem by 15th-century Valencian poet Ausiàs March, the venue functions as a cultural hub hosting art exhibitions, live music performances, theatrical productions, conferences, and dance shows throughout the year.
The facility operates with restaurants including La Sucursal on the top floor, open Saturdays from 6:00 PM to 1:30 AM and Sundays from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with over 800 parking spaces available nearby.
The design creates the sensation of standing on a transatlantic ship's deck, while housing the Michelin-starred restaurant La Sucursal, which has earned two Repsol Soles, ranking among Spain's top dining establishments.

Valencia has many rooftop bars and restaurants with clear views over the city’s rooftops, its historic center, and the Mediterranean coast. These venues are spread across the Carmen district, with views of the old town, the Cité des Arts et des Sciences area where Santiago Calatrava's L'Umbracle is located, and the port zone with the Veles e Vents complex facing the marina. panoramic terraces such as Ateneo Sky Bar Restaurant, Kamikaze Sky Bar, and Blanq Carmen's Rooftop offer cocktails and full meals in elevated settings. These places allow visitors to explore Valencian and international cuisine while enjoying the region's favorable climate. Some rooftops are connected to hotels like 270 Terrace at Barceló Valencia or LH Gran Vía Valencia, while others operate as independent establishments. La Placa Gastromercat gathers several food stalls in an open market format, providing an alternative to traditional restaurants with city views.
