Sanborns Loreto is a restaurant inside an 18th-century palace in Mexico City, with a facade covered in blue and white tiles from Puebla. Inside, the space opens into several areas, from a long counter with swivel stools to a dining room set around a courtyard.
The Sanborn brothers bought this palace in 1919 and opened Mexico's first soda fountain there. Over time, the building evolved into a place that brought together dining, retail, and a pharmacy under one roof.
The staff wear pink uniforms with white blouses, a visual detail that has been part of the chain's identity for decades. The menu mixes Mexican dishes with international options, drawing both locals and visitors throughout the day.
