Termy Szaflary, Thermal water park in Szaflary, Poland.
Termy Szaflary is a thermal water park with 21 swimming zones fed by natural sulfur-rich water from deep underground springs. These zones feature fountains, massage jets, geysers, and water slides distributed throughout the property.
The sulfur water springs in Szaflary were discovered during geological surveys in the Podhale region in the 1950s and later developed into this facility. The establishment grew from scientific interest in the therapeutic properties of thermal water.
The pool design reflects the building traditions of the Podhale highlands, using wood and local granite stone that shows how the region's builders worked with natural materials.
The facility is open daily and can be visited at various times, with separate areas for young children and specially designed play zones. Visitors should bring swimwear and towels, as different pools maintain different water temperatures.
The Siarcane Koloseum pool draws design inspiration from the Roman Colosseum, featuring a central fountain where the water is consistently heated to about 38 degrees Celsius (100 degrees Fahrenheit). This special pool blends ancient architectural influences with modern thermal facilities in an unexpected way.
