Ferme-Auberge du Treh, Mountain farm restaurant in Fellering, France
Ferme-Auberge du Treh is a mountain farm restaurant at 1,139 meters elevation with views of the Thann valley, serving regional specialties in a converted stable. The property combines livestock raising with dining, sourcing local products directly from its own farm.
Jean-Paul Deybach and his wife Geneviève purchased the property from the Schott family and opened the renovated restaurant on 26 January 2006 after nine months of renovation work. The site transformed from an existing farm into an agritourism restaurant, blending tradition with a new business model.
The restaurant keeps the tradition of alpine dairy farming, with cheese and meat products made from their own animals. The seasonal movement of livestock between pastures shapes the rhythm of the year at this location.
The restaurant welcomes guests from Wednesday to Sunday with outdoor seating on the terrace in a relaxed setting. Full wheelchair accessibility ensures all visitors can navigate the space comfortably.
A large copper cauldron tops the closed fireplace and is accompanied by a collection of bells that decorate the entrance. These handcrafted objects reflect the alpine heritage of the region.
