Restaurant Can Marc
Restaurant Can Marc occupies a 14th-century stone house in Sant Esteve de Palautordera with gardens and terraces overlooking the Montseny mountains. The building contains multiple dining areas both indoors and outdoors, where Mediterranean-influenced dishes blend traditional Catalan recipes with contemporary techniques.
The building dates to the 14th century and was recently transformed into a family restaurant preserving recipes passed down over five generations. Owner Oriol Sabé grew up in the house and decided at age 25 to share his family's traditional cooking with visitors.
The restaurant occupies an old stone building that reflects traditional Catalan rural life, where family gatherings and home cooking hold deep meaning. The wooden furniture and simple decor remind visitors of how locals value gathering together for meals.
The restaurant operates Tuesday through Sunday, and reservations are recommended especially for weekends and peak seasons. Food is served only on-site for dining in, and staff are happy to answer questions about local specialties or help you choose from the tasting menus available.
The restaurant has access to rural apartments next to the building where guests can stay after dining, extending their visit into the surrounding Montseny landscape. This option allows visitors to experience the quiet countryside atmosphere beyond just a meal.
