Battle of Britain Memorial Flight

The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight visitor center features restored aircraft including Lancaster bombers, Spitfires, and Hurricanes from World War II.

Established in 1957 as the RAF Historic Flight with three Spitfires and one Hurricane, the center maintains twelve operational aircraft from World War II.

The collection preserves the memory of Royal Air Force pilots through annual displays at military ceremonies and national celebrations across the United Kingdom.

The visitor center requires advance booking for guided hangar tours, and security regulations prohibit carrying bags inside the military facility.

Lancaster PA474, maintained at this facility, represents one of only two Lancaster bombers worldwide that remain capable of flight.
