Calverley Park and Calverley Grounds, Grade II listed park and garden in Kent, England

Calverley Park and Calverley Grounds form a Grade II listed park and garden in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent. The grounds include open grass areas, mature trees, walking paths, sports courts, and a children's play area.

The grounds were created around 1825 as part of the Calverley Estate, a plan to develop a new part of Tunbridge Wells. The local council bought the meadows in 1920 and turned them into the public park visitors can see today.

In August, the grounds host the Tunbridge Wells Mela, where visitors can enjoy music, dancing, and food from many parts of the world. In winter, an ice rink and festive lights draw people from across the area.

The paths are wide and easy to walk, making the park accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs. There is an entrance at the north and one at the south, and the grounds slope gently from one end to the other.

There was once a small lake fed by a stream and a spring in the lower part of the grounds. It was drained in the mid-1800s when the railway came through, and the area is now used for sports.
