IchiRyu Ramen House, Ramen restaurant in Al Mina, United Arab Emirates
IchiRyu Ramen House is a Japanese ramen restaurant in the port district of Al Mina, in the United Arab Emirates. It serves several soup bases with noodles and meat toppings, alongside grilled dishes and side orders.
The restaurant opened in 2023 and was among the first in the United Arab Emirates to introduce solo dining counters modeled on Japanese ramen shops. This brought a dining format that was largely unknown in the region at the time.
The restaurant sits inside the Wasl Port Views Building and follows the Japanese tradition of building a meal around a single bowl of broth, noodles, and toppings. The interior design is minimal and focused, in the way of many ramen shops in Japan.
The restaurant is in the Al Mina port area, and it stays open into the late evening, which makes it accessible for both lunch and dinner. Booking ahead is a good idea, as the number of seats is limited.
In Japan, eating alone at a long counter with small partitions between seats is a normal part of daily life, but this setup is still rare in the Gulf region. IchiRyu was among the first places in the UAE to offer this style of seating, where each person has a small, separated space.
