Becker Bräu
Becker Bräu is a barbecue restaurant in Sector 5 located within a former brewery building and serves grilled dishes along with house-made beer. The space features large indoor areas with rustic wooden furnishings, a spacious outdoor terrace, and retains industrial architectural elements from its factory past.
The building was founded in 1996 as a brewery by Christian Becker and was Bucharest's first craft-style brewery using 1516 German recipes with modern methods. After closing in 2018, it reopened in 2019 following renovation as Becker Bräu restaurant, serving grilled dishes and the original beer.
The name Becker Bräu comes from its original founders and their brewing heritage at this location. Today, visitors use the place as a gathering spot for friends and families to socialize over beer and hearty food in a relaxed setting.
The restaurant has large indoor and outdoor areas suitable for groups and families, with the terrace being especially popular on good weather days. Service is friendly and attentive, with tablet ordering helping to keep things running smoothly even during busy evenings.
The beer is brewed using a 1516 German recipe and is not pasteurized, a rare quality for a craft-made drink. This natural process gives the beer a different flavor that regular visitors appreciate.
