Siyam World Maldives
Siyam World Maldives is a large resort on a natural island in Noonu Atoll with nearly 500 villas, many built over the lagoon on stilts. Accommodation ranges from beachfront villas to luxury overwater bungalows with private pools, slides, and outdoor bathrooms featuring rain showers.
Siyam World is the newest addition to Sun Siyam Resorts and was established as the first resort in the Maldives to combine many activities on a single island. It marks a shift in island resort development by bringing together overwater experiences with broader entertainment and sports offerings.
The name Siyam World refers to the historical name for Thailand, reflecting the resort's connection to Asian traditions. Visitors can experience this cultural influence through Thai restaurants, Balinese and Indonesian spa treatments, and daily activities that weave Asian elements into island life.
The resort is reachable in about 45 minutes by seaplane from Malé International Airport, with speedboat transfers also available. The island is easy to navigate on foot, by golf cart, or using the all-day shuttle service, and staff happily help guests plan activities and arrange transportation.
The resort is home to the only horse ranch in the Maldives, where guests can ride elegant Marwari horses from India along the beach at sunrise. These rare horses with their distinctive curved ears and graceful appearance are trained by a veteran Indian rider, making this a memorable activity found nowhere else in the islands.
