Elda Footwear Museum

The museum contains four specialized galleries across two floors, displaying collections of cobbler tools, vintage machinery, and numerous shoe models from different periods.

Founded in 1992 by José María Amat Amer, the museum preserves over 300 years of shoemaking history from the Vinalopó region and its evolution into mass production.

The institution celebrates the footwear sector through annual events like the Woman in the Best Shoes Award and maintains partnerships with industry organizations.

Museum admission costs 3 euros per person, with guided tours available in Spanish, English, and French at 20 euros per group booking.

The collection features shoes worn by athletes Rafael Nadal and Severiano Ballesteros, along with a 19th-century spiked shoe designed for chestnut de-husking.
