Muzeum, Open-air ethnographic museum in Nowogród, Poland
The museum is a collection of more than 20 wooden buildings spread across open land, including homes, barns, granaries, and farm structures. The buildings were moved here from nearby areas to show how people lived in earlier centuries.
The museum was established in the 1920s to save old buildings from disappearing. Most of the original collection was lost during World War II, though the buildings themselves were later restored.
The wooden structures show how people organized their homes and work spaces, with traditional building methods and room layouts still visible inside. These buildings reveal what daily routines looked like and what mattered most in rural family and farm life.
You can walk through the grounds and explore the buildings both inside and out at your own pace. There is a tavern on-site where you can stop and taste regional food while visiting.
One section of the museum displays traditional beehives and beekeeping methods that are rarely practiced today. This exhibition preserves knowledge about a craft that once played an important role in rural life.
