Modern and Contemporary Art Museum

The white marble building features a distinctive tetrapod arch design spanning across the Paillon River with four transparent glass towers at each corner.

The museum opened its doors in 1990, designed by architects Yves Bayard and Henri Vidal to create a cultural landmark in the heart of Nice.

The permanent collection displays significant works from European New Realism, American Pop Art, and Arte Povera movements across three exhibition floors.

The museum has temporarily closed in January 2024 for extensive renovations and will relocate its exhibitions to various partner institutions throughout Nice until 2028.

Twenty works by Yves Klein occupy a dedicated room, while 170 pieces from Niki de Saint Phalle's personal collection enhance the museum's permanent exhibition.
