Museum der Illusionen, Visual illusions museum in Hamburg-Mitte, Germany
The Museum der Illusionen presents 50 exhibits across 400 square meters, featuring holographic displays, stereograms, and perceptual experiments that challenge visual understanding.
The Museum der Illusionen Hamburg opened its doors in October 2018 as part of an international network that started with the first location in Zagreb in 2015.
The museum combines scientific principles with interactive experiences, allowing visitors to become part of the exhibits through optical and sensory installations.
Located at Lilienstrasse 14-16, the museum welcomes visitors daily from 10:00 to 19:00, with adult tickets priced at 14 euros and child tickets at 10 euros.
The museum features an Ames Room and Vortex Tunnel, where visitors experience spatial distortions that make people appear to grow or shrink in size.
