Dapu
Dapu is a hotel in Dapeng Village, a small coastal settlement in the Wanli District of New Taipei City, on Taiwan's north coast. The building is modest in size, with simply furnished rooms and a location that puts guests close to both the sea and the surrounding hillside.
Dapeng was originally a fishing community that had settled along Taiwan's north coast over many generations. Over time the area began attracting visitors drawn to the natural hot springs nearby, which gradually shifted the local economy toward tourism.
Dapeng sits in a small village that once relied on fishing and later grew around its natural hot springs. Walking through the area, visitors come across old temples and a local market where daily village life is easy to observe.
The hotel is within easy walking distance of the north coast, and free parking is available for guests arriving by car. Nearby hot spring parks and local eateries serving traditional Taiwanese food can also be reached on foot from the property.
Some rooms come with a private hot spring tub inside the room itself, fed directly by the mineral-rich water from local springs. This means guests can soak without leaving their room, which is not something you find at every hotel along this stretch of coast.
