Grecotel Creta Palace
Grecotel Creta Palace is a large resort hotel on the coast near Rethymno on the Greek island of Crete with direct access to a long sandy beach and clear waters. The hotel features various rooms and villas overlooking the sea or gardens, multiple restaurants and bars with different cuisines, pools, a spa area, and a kids' club called Grecoland.
The hotel was Grecotel's first project on Crete and has been an established seaside destination for many years. By 2026, the resort is undergoing a complete redesign with new rooms, restaurants, and a new concept called LUXME that offers all-inclusive experiences with diverse dining options.
The name references ancient Greek culture and Crete's heritage. Visitors can discover traditional Cretan elements through the resort's design and activities, including a village square and the nearby Agreco Farm, where you can see how local people work and taste traditional foods made the way they have been for generations.
Direct access to the beach and pools is available from the hotel, while the old town of Rethymno is within walking distance. The hotel offers transportation options for exploring the area, and staff can provide recommendations for local activities and dining spots.
The hotel was named a winner in the Condé Nast Traveller Readers' Choice Awards for 2025, showing its recognition among travelers. The new LUXME brand starting in 2026 introduces an innovative all-inclusive concept focused on diverse dining experiences and comprehensive activities.
