Kindermuseum Junges Schloss, children's museum in Stuttgart
The Kindermuseum Junges Schloss sits within the Old Castle and provides interactive stations spread across three floors about regional history and development. The spaces feature modern installations that invite children to touch and experiment.
The museum was created in 2010 as a new part of the Württemberg State Museum within the historic Old Castle. It was the first space designed specifically for children's learning in this building.
The exhibitions focus on themes like conflict resolution and emotional skills through play stations and interactive installations. Children discover practical ways to handle feelings and understand differences here.
Ground-level access is available, and the exhibition spaces are arranged in a child-friendly way with plenty of room to move around. There are areas for different age groups so children can explore at their own pace.
The museum runs a membership club for children that provides additional activities and exclusive access to special programs throughout the year. This creates a community of young visitors who return regularly.
