Παραλία Ερμονες

Ermones Beach is a wide sandy beach on Corfu's western coast with gentle waters of the Ionian Sea and a sloped sandy bottom. Green hills and Mediterranean vegetation frame the shoreline, with sunbeds, umbrellas, and water sports equipment available for rent.

The area holds archaeological remains showing human settlement dating to classical times in ancient Greece. These discoveries indicate early occupation that shaped the region across centuries.

The beach serves as a gathering place where visitors can observe local fishing traditions and taste seafood prepared at waterfront tavernas. Fresh catches are prepared and served the same day they arrive at these casual restaurants.

The beach offers plenty of space for swimming and water sports with parking available directly at the shore. Visit early in the day when it is less crowded and the light is best for photographs.

Natural saltwater pools form at both ends of the beach during low tide, home to small sea creatures. These shallow basins appear only when the water level drops and provide a window into local marine life.
