Bella Vista

Bella Vista is a viewpoint situated above Paleokastritsa Bay with views of the Ionian Sea, rugged coastal cliffs, and several small coves spread across the water. From this high location, visitors can take in multiple beaches and the surrounding coastline at once.

The location became an established viewpoint in the early 20th century when the road connecting Paleokastritsa to Lakones village was constructed. This connection made the spot easily accessible and popular with travelers.

Local residents gather at this spot during religious festivals to release lanterns into the night sky, following a tradition dating back generations.

The spot has a dedicated parking area and a viewing terrace with benches to sit and enjoy the view. Informational panels explain the visible landmarks and help visitors identify the different coastal features.

From this vantage point, visitors can experience both sunrise over the mainland mountain ranges and sunset over the sea depending on the season. The shifting angle of light offers different visual experiences throughout the year.
