Grande Plage de Quiberon

The Grande Plage extends for 900 meters along the southern coast, offering fine sand and clear waters for swimming and sunbathing activities.

The beach infrastructure, including its protective seawall and promenade, was constructed during the 1950s to enhance coastal protection and tourism development.

Local residents maintain traditional Breton coastal customs, with fishermen launching their boats from Port Maria at the western end of the beach.

The beach provides complete accessibility with wooden walkways, mobility chairs, showers, restrooms, and lifeguard supervision from July through August.

This south-facing beach remains protected from Atlantic winds by its position on the Quiberon peninsula, creating stable conditions for water activities.
