The stone lighthouse residence stands within a natural sandy grassland area, featuring a tower and three ground floor rooms connected by a vestibule.
Built in 1875, this maritime structure guided ships through the Fier d'Ars passage with its lantern light visible up to 20 kilometers away.
The lighthouse building now hosts temporary exhibitions focused on climate change, ocean preservation, and coastal protection through local association initiatives.
Visitors can access the lighthouse from July to August, Wednesday through Saturday, between 10:00-13:00 and 15:00-19:00, with free admission for all.
A protected barn owl inhabits the upper floor of the lighthouse, making this area restricted while maintaining its role as a natural sanctuary.
