Dubovica

Dubovica is a pebble beach near Zarace village situated along the Adriatic Sea, with stone houses and Mediterranean plants scattered on the hillside above. The shoreline slopes gently into shallow waters that deepen gradually as you move away from shore.

This location served as a fishing port for centuries, and its stone structures still reflect that maritime past. The buildings and layout show how the community once centered its existence around the sea.

Fishermen work these waters using methods passed down through generations, and their small boats are a daily sight in the bay. This living tradition connects the place to the maritime culture that has shaped coastal life here.

The path down to the beach is steep and takes roughly 15 minutes on foot, so wear proper shoes and allow extra time for the walk. Parking is available near the main road at the top of the path.

The water displays shifting colors throughout the day, ranging from bright green to deep blue, depending on the light and time. This play of color comes from how sunlight interacts with the white pebbles beneath the surface.
