Rudina, Stari Grad

Rudina is a settlement on the northern coast of Hvar island, stretching along limestone hills that overlook the Adriatic Sea. The village is surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation and connected by walking paths that link different parts of the settlement.

The area developed near the ancient Greek colony of Pharos, founded in 384 BC, which forms the basis of present-day Stari Grad. These ancient roots left traces in how the land is organized and how people have lived here for thousands of years.
