Kargı Plajı

Kargı Plajı is a swimming beach on Turkey's Mediterranean coast with both rocky and sandy sections set within a sheltered bay. Mountains surround the area and create a natural protection from winds, especially from the north.

Local fishermen used Kargı Bay for many generations as a natural harbor to escape harsh northern winds. This sheltered spot became an important gathering place for the maritime life of the region.

Eucalyptus trees line the shore and shape how the beach feels, showing traditional approaches to coastal design in this region. The way visitors use the space reflects a relaxed pace that mirrors local daily routines.

The beach has sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, and minibus services regularly connect it to Datça center. Morning visits work well if you prefer quieter conditions and want to find a good spot more easily.

The water here stays clear over time, even when many visitors are around or the weather changes. This is less common at other beaches in the region and gives this spot a real advantage for swimming.
