The Thief

The Thief is a hotel with a rooftop restaurant located at Tjuvholmen in Oslo, directly overlooking the fjord. All rooms feature private French balconies offering views of the water or cityscape, and the penthouse suite includes a private terrace spanning about 160 square meters.

The hotel was built in an area with an independent spirit, where Tjuvholmen was once a rough neighborhood. Over time, the area transformed into a vibrant hub for art and food culture, shaping the character of the place today.

The name refers to the neighborhood's past as a place for outsiders and rule-breakers. This spirit of independence still shows today in how the hotel welcomes guests to explore freely and embrace unconventional experiences.

The hotel is easy to reach, and staff can assist with planning your stay at any time. The rooftop terrace operates only during certain seasons, so checking opening times beforehand helps you plan your visit.

The rooftop is divided into two sections: one with a restaurant for outdoor summer dining, and one with a bar featuring glass walls, heat lamps, and a retractable roof. This clever design keeps guests comfortable outside even during cooler weather while enjoying the cityscape.
