Arkose Didot, Climbing gym in 14th arrondissement, France.
Arkose Didot is a climbing gym spread across two underground levels, occupying 830 square meters with 140 meters of climbing walls at varying difficulty levels. The walls combine wooden elements and metal frameworks to create routes suitable for different climbing styles and experience levels.
The facility opened in 2020 after construction delays caused by global events that year. Despite these challenges, the project successfully established a modern climbing space in an established Paris neighborhood.
The climbing center includes a restaurant called La Cantine Didot where sustainable food practices shape the menu and daily offerings. Visitors often combine their climbing sessions with meals prepared using local and seasonal ingredients.
The gym is located between metro stations Porte d'Orleans and Porte de Vanves and welcomes climbers daily from early morning to midnight. The underground location offers consistent conditions year-round, making it easy to plan visits regardless of weather outside.
The interior spaces feature tropical graffiti artwork by artist Liard spanning both climbing areas and the dining section. This artistic design creates a colorful and energizing environment that sets the space apart from typical climbing venues.
