Spiaggia di Cannigione

Spiaggia di Cannigione is a sandy beach on the northeastern coast of Sardinia with clear water and views across the Mediterranean. The strand slopes gradually into the sea, making it easy to wade out and swim along a lengthy shoreline.

This location began as a small fishing settlement on the Sardinian coast and became a swimming destination during the 1900s. Tourism development brought infrastructure and shifted the community's focus from fishing to serving visitors.

The restaurants and beach bars near this sandy stretch serve fresh seafood prepared using recipes passed down through Gallura families. Local fishers and cooks have shaped the food culture here, making it taste like the surrounding Mediterranean.

Umbrellas and sunbeds are available for rent, with parking spaces nearby and several entry points along the sand. The water is shallow and calm, making it suitable for swimming and paddling with children.

Next to the beach sits a wetland called Stagno di Padula Saloni that hosts black storks, purple herons, and flamingos. This natural area offers a quiet contrast to the busy beach and reveals the variety of the coastal landscape.
