Sandpatch Beach Stairs

Sandpatch Beach Stairs comprise about 500 wooden steps that descend along the rocky coastline down to the ocean. The staircase runs beside the Albany Wind Farm and features multiple viewing platforms with sea views.

The upper sections were built in the 1980s using Jarrah wood and underwent major restoration in 2018 due to natural wear. This renovation ensured the safety and durability of the structure for years to come.

The stairs serve locals and visitors as a training spot for fitness activities and represent a key place for the community's physical pursuits. People regularly use the route to build endurance and spend time outdoors.

The staircase is steep and demands reasonable physical fitness, especially on the climb back to the parking area. Multiple rest platforms allow you to pause regularly along the way.

Deep waters near the beach hold a sizeable salmon population that attracts anglers, though strong currents and reef formations make fishing challenging. These fishing grounds are known among experienced fishermen despite the demanding conditions.
