Golf du Château de Rochefort

Golf du Château de Rochefort is an 18-hole course set across a large estate with varied terrain and multiple tee positions for different skill levels. The layout incorporates natural features like water hazards and tree lines to create interesting playing conditions throughout the round.

The course was designed in 1964 by British architect Fred Hawtree and built on an estate featuring a 1904 château modeled after Parisian architecture. This historic building provides a distinctive backdrop for the golfing facility.

The facility maintains French golfing traditions through its Swing4U program, which introduces approximately 70 new players to the sport each year.

The facility offers practice areas including a driving range and equipment rental for those without their own clubs. Professional instruction is available on-site to help golfers of any level improve their game.

A mechanical lift system at the 18th green transports golfers back to the clubhouse, solving the challenge posed by the course's uneven elevation. This engineering feature reflects a practical and creative response to the natural terrain conditions.
